The all new Luctis Roof Window now has a beautifully designed silver handle and vent system and much improved timber quality. The Luctis range of roof windows and accessories has been developed to meet the needs of the customers who wish to provide daylight and ventilation under the roof.
The products are manufactured to very high quality standards and have been designed to meet top performance standards. Innovations in design and production provide products which are easy to install and operate and which result in a high specification window at modest cost. Luctis roof windows have sashes (40mm thick) and frames (34 mm thick) of solid natural softwood. Sashes and frames are treated with 3 primer and 2 surface coats of clear water based varnish.
Cladding
The exterior claddings of the windows are manufactured from 0.6mm aluminium with a UV proof epoxy powder paint coating to colour RAL 7015.
Glazing
The double glazing unit is constructed as follows : Outside pane: 4mm toughened glass. Gap: 16mm argon gas filled. Inside pane: 4mm Low E coated float glass.
Flashings
For weather protection the windows are sealed into pre-trimmed roof openings with 0.6mm aluminium flashings coated with UV proof epoxy powder paint to colour RAL 7015 to match the window claddings. The flashing kits are available for use with tile or slate roofs.
Opening, locking and cleaning
Windows are opened via an aluminium latch/lock handle located in the bottom sash rail. The tongue of the handle engages with a location plate in the frame. The sash can be rotated and locked in position to allow cleaning of the outside pane from inside the building.
Ventilation
Ventilation can be achieved in 3 ways:- opening the window, which will stay in an open position as required bolting the window in the vent position placing the handle in the night vent position on the latch plate.
