Spiral Stairs

Opening size

This must be the minimum ‘dimension’ shown on the following diagrams bearing in mind tread width, total going and headroom.

Working Out Your Staircase

1. Decide which staircase width you require.
2. Measure the floor to floor height.
3. Establish the configuration for your application.

Choosing your configuration, you will have to bear in mind the floor space available and the required headroom (ceiling opening). The advised ceiling opening must have at least the dimensions of the staircase less two treads (see diagram 1 on PDF).
