Help with choosing the right Blind

The Loft Shop provides a wide range of roof window blinds for most roof windows on the market.

Whether you just want to dim out the light with a standard roller blind or want a blackout blind to keep the sun out of your loft bedroom on those early summer mornings you have the answer right here.

How do I know what blind to order?

Obtain the serial number

Before you order the blind it is vital that you find the serial number on your window so you can identify which window you own and which blind to order. The serial number can be located in various different places depending on which style window you have. This quick guide will show you how to find that code.

Velux Windows

The code is located once you open the window pulling down the operation bar, it is located here:

Window codes will be for example:

Roto Windows

Depending how old the window is, the code can be found in one of two different places. For example...

Firstly, open your window and look on the right hand arm of the roof window and serial should be located here under and blue or red tag these are 435 and 735 windows (these have a grey handle at the bottom of the window) and the code can be found here:

The serial number will be similar to the following examples:

320 windows (these are older windows have a black or brown handle at the bottom of the window) and the code can be found here:

Fakro Windows

Fakro windows have the code placed like the Velux window, open the window from the handle at the bottom and when the top of the window comes into the room, you will find the plate located here:

Keylite Windows

Keylite windows have the code placed identical to the Velux window, open the window from the bar at the bottom and when the top of the window comes into the room, you will find the plate located here:

Rooflite/Ecolite Windows

Rooflite/Ecolite windows have the code placed like the Fakro window, except on the left not the right. Open the window from the handle at the bottom and when the top of the window comes into the room, you will find the plate located here:
